Configure Default APN Settings for Self Activated Wireless Service

You should complete this selection if you are providing your own wireless communications service and that service requires an Access Point Name (APN) to be programmed into the RTU modem. This is often the case when using a service such as Firstnet.

PREREQUISITES:

  • You will need to have the System Administrator role assigned to your user. See Manage User Accounts for more information.
  1. Click System Settings in the menu.

  1. Click the Edit icon next to Telog Default Wireless APN.

  1. Enter the APN in the Value field and click Save.
  2. If required, repeat steps 2 and 3 for the Telog Default APN username and Telog Default APN password fields, entering the values provided by your wireless carrier.

When a custom APN is configured and you register an RTU in the Add a New RTU to the RTU List, the APN settings are displayed below the destination field in the RTU Call Configuration page.
