Create and Manage Classification Types

With help from support, admins can create and manage classification types. These classification types include JSON values, which can be configured to add static text that describes specific data at a glance for a work order, alarm, event, project, report, etc. in the selection list within the Work Management app.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Please contact support to setup classification type configuration.
  1. Classification types can be created and managed by clicking the menu icon to open the menu. Then clicking App Builder.

  1. In the Classifications panel, click Manage to share, edit, or remove any existing classification types. Click Create Classification, to create a new classification type.

When creating or modifying an existing classification type there are three steps:

  • Give the classification type a name, description, and a Geometry Type, such as Point.

  • Associate or assign it to pages, cards, etc. within Work Management.

  • Configure metadata, display fields, post load and pre save, and JSON values, such as add text to define information that appears on an item in the list.

Once the configuration is completed with support's help, you can see the configurations throughout the app.

EXAMPLE

Here's an example where the JSON value has been configured to add static text that describes the data at a glance for a report in the selection list.
