Configure the Administrator User with ArcGIS Identity

The admin user provided to new customers will not have access to the customer ArcGIS organization. Now that ArcGIS Single Sign-on is configured, the next step is to assign the administrator permission to your ArcGIS enabled user.

  1. Log in with your ArcGIS identity by selecting ArcGIS Online (this name depends on how it was entered in the SSO Settings).
  2. After authenticating with ArcGIS, a user will be created. This step will set the username, email, and name of the user to match the ArcGIS user profile automatically.
  3. Log out of the application.
  4. Log in using the admin user credentials provided to you.
  5. Open the User Admin menu.

  1. Edit the ArcGIS enabled user that was just created and enable the Administrator permission under System Access.

  1. Click Save.
  2. Log out of the system and log in with the ArcGIS enabled user which now has administrator permissions.

Once this step is completed, you can now use the new administrator user with ArcGIS identity to access the Trimble Unity app builder to configure GIS data.
