About Pressure Impulse and High Resolution Data
Pressure impulses are quick fluctuations in pressure that happen over a small period of time. These fluctuations, or waves, travel through the pipeline and cause vibrations. Over time, the vibrations can cause damage to the pipeline and create breaks if they are not detected. Some of the Telog RTUs are equipped to detect pressure impulses by sampling at a speed of up to 256 samples per second, and when impulses are detected the RTU records this high resolution data for visualization and analysis.
